Alert sound and notification settings

You can configure an audible sound and the notification toast behaviour when there is a new "Critical" alert or a device enters "Emergency" state.

To configure portal alert settings for your own account

1. Click "Options"
2. Click "My Profile"
3. Click "Portal Alert Settings"
4. Specify whether on screen alert toast hides automatically after 10 seconds or it needs to be closed manually
5. Optionally select audio playback and pick sound file to be played when there is any alert
6. Click "OK"

To configure portal alert settings for another account

Note: in order to change the settings of another user, your role requires the "Edit Other Users" and "Edit Other User's Profile" permissions

1. Click "Options"
2. Click "Users"
3. Click the user whose settings you wish to change
4. Click "Portal Alert Settings"
5. Specify whether on screen alert toast hides automatically after 10 seconds or it needs to be closed manually
6. Optionally select audio playback and pick sound file to be played when there is any alert
7. Click "OK"

Audio Options

There are four options for audio alerts:

• No sound
• Play once for new alerts
• Play every minute until all alerts acknowledged
• Play continuously until all alerts acknowledged

You can choose from several audio files. The sound will play when the selection is changed.
